Question 2 permits multiple answers, so percentages may exceed 100%. Read recent-choice reasons alongside water access and the requested change. A low water-access rating suggests checking actual facilities; it does not establish water quality. These self-reports do not measure grams of sugar, diagnose a condition or represent everyone in the community. Choose a feasible change and evaluate its use separately. ## What the Research Adds Block and colleagues (2013) held 12 focus groups with 90 students at six U.S. colleges. Their abstract concludes that “taste and price were the most important factors” in beverage choice. This supports asking about practical reasons and purchase settings instead of assuming nutrition information alone explains decisions. The qualitative study does not provide population rates or prove a particular local intervention will work. No. It records days on which a respondent had a sugary drink and the context of those choices. It does not collect the quantities needed to estimate grams of sugar. ### Why define sugary drinks at the start? Product names can be ambiguous. The shared definition helps people distinguish added-sugar drinks from excluded categories when recalling the week. ### Can adults who had no sugary drinks answer? Yes.
