# Adding multiple rules inside one logic flow

Sometimes you need to trigger a consequence based on answers from more than one question. In that case, you can create one logic flow with multiple rules.

**Female respondents in their 30s**

1. IF answer to the following question

   What is your biological gender?

   is any of the following

   - Female
   - Male
   - N/A

2. AND if answer to the following question

   How old are you?

   is any of the following

   - 20 - 24 years old
   - 25 - 29 years old
   - 30 - 34 years old
   - 35 - 39 years old

3. THEN choose an action Show or hide the right follow-up question

Multiple rules can be connected with AND if or OR if, depending on when the consequence should happen.

## How to add multiple rules

You can add a new rule from the rule controls, or choose AND if or OR if from the flow dropdown before the THEN section.

**Note**

AND if and OR if behave differently. AND if requires all connected rules to be met. OR if lets the flow trigger when any connected rule is met.
