# Logic conditions for questions with scored answers

Several SurveyLegend question types have scored answers by nature. Net Promoter Score, Opinion Scale, star ratings, and sliders can all be used in logic conditions based on score.

## Scores, sum, and question types

### Net Promoter Score

An NPS question can receive a score from 0 to 10, or 0 when no answer is selected.

### Opinion Scale

An Opinion Scale question can receive a score based on how the scale is configured and whether the first visible choice starts at 0 or 1.

### Star rating

A star rating gives points based on the chosen rating. One star gives one point; five stars gives five points.

### Sliders

Slider questions can create scores from 0 up to the maximum value that you assign.

**Tip**

If there are several items in a rating question, SurveyLegend calculates the sum of that question across all items.

**Scored answers example**

1. IF SUM of the following questions

   NPS and overall experience rating

   is greater than

   - NPS question
   - Overall experience rating

2. THEN show Thank-you page for satisfied respondents

Scored-answer logic works like number-based logic: the condition compares scores or sums, then runs the chosen consequence.
