“Acceptable range” of a survey field is defined by a minimum, and a maximum value. By setting “Acceptable range” you will limit the range in which respondents can answer. Therefore, their answers has to be *not less than *and *not more than *the minimum and maximum values.

Note:

There is a technical difference between “Acceptable range” of numbers, words, and characters; as explained below:

  When you set the Input format of a Text Box to “Numbers” and also limit the Acceptable range for example from 10 to 100, this mean your participants can answer only within this spectrum; any number between 10 to 100. If they answer with a number higher than 100 or lower than 10, our system still collects the data; but it will inform the participants with a prominent visual feedback that their input is wrong, and expected to be something else. When you set the Acceptable range of a number box for example from 10 to 100, this mean your participants can answer only within this spectrum; any number between 10 to 100.
