How to Adapt the Questionnaire

Specify whether you mean a general research topic or one actual payment option. For an actual offer, provide the same factual, reviewed explanation to every respondent and state the seller and payment context. Keep any asset, fee or refund description current and verified separately. This questionnaire does not establish legal suitability, technical security or whether a person should use cryptocurrency.

When to Ask

Use it before a concept discussion or after respondents have seen the same factual description. Do not mix unexposed respondents with users in an unlabeled total. Retain the 12-month period for payment experience and record the field dates because the available options and explanations can change.

How to Use the Responses

Report payment use separately from familiarity and willingness to consider. A concern about refunds is different from confusion about the steps; each suggests a different question for the payment team to investigate. Retain 'would not consider' and 'do not know' rather than recoding them as demand. Use the final open-ended question to identify missing information. The answers cannot establish payment safety, estimate investment returns or predict adoption.

What the Research Adds

Sangari and Mashatan’s study, published online in 2023 and in a 2024 journal issue, examines resistance to retail crypto payments. Its abstract identifies “ecosystem volatility and the lack of structural assurances” as influences on negative perceptions. Read the crypto-payment resistance study . This supports asking about concerns as well as possible interest. The original SurveyLegend questions do not reproduce the study’s measures or establish how safe a particular payment option is.

Frequently asked questions

Is this an investment survey?

No. It asks about paying for goods or services. It does not ask which assets to buy, forecast returns or recommend a purchase.

Should respondents share transaction details?

No. The survey can work with broad frequency and perception answers. Do not collect wallet addresses, recovery phrases or payment identifiers.

Does interest mean customers will use the method?

No. Stated interest and past use are different. Further research and actual technical, operational and legal review would be needed before introducing a payment option.
