This property management survey asks residents about communication, maintenance requests, and shared spaces during the past three months. Use their feedback to identify where management service needs attention.

A repair can be completed while the resident still feels uninformed about what happened. This SurveyLegend template separates access to management, updates about a request, and satisfaction with completed work so you can see which part of the experience needs review.

When to use this survey

Invite adult residents of the named property after they have had a chance to experience its management service. State the dates and who will review feedback. A clearly identified email survey invitation can explain the purpose, but this questionnaire should never replace the property’s maintenance-request or urgent-contact channels.

7 questions for your property management survey

Think about the named property during the past three months. All questions are optional. Do not include your apartment number, neighbors’ names or sensitive personal details. Use the property’s normal contact route for a repair request or urgent concern.

Customize your property management survey

Name the property and exact reference dates. If there are no shared spaces, remove that question from every version. Keep the no-request and unfinished-work options: residents should not have to rate a repair they did not receive. Explain a separate private route for follow-up rather than requesting apartment numbers in this general survey.

Printable property management survey

Make printed copies available at a staffed reception or another accessible collection point for residents who prefer paper. Show the return deadline and ordinary maintenance contact details. Do not promise an anonymous collection process unless the actual handling supports that statement. Paper answers must be reviewed or entered separately.

How to use the answers

Separate residents with a maintenance request from those without one before interpreting repair feedback. Compare progress updates and completed-work ratings without treating unfinished work as dissatisfaction. Group open-ended data into communication, repair and shared-space themes. Review serious concerns through the appropriate service process even when only one respondent raises them.

Yosof, Abdullah, and Mohd Najib’s 2014 study of public housing in Penang examined communication and residents’ perceived maintenance performance. Its abstract identifies “accuracy of information” as a relevant communication attribute. This maintenance communication study informs the separate update and work-completion questions. The Malaysian public-housing findings do not establish a universal service standard or validate this original questionnaire.

Frequently asked questions

Can residents submit a maintenance request here?

This template is for feedback. Direct new requests and urgent issues to the property’s monitored service channels.

Should residents without a recent repair answer?

Yes. They can comment on contact information, routine updates and shared spaces, and select the no-request options for repair questions.

Does this inspect the property’s condition?

No. Resident feedback can identify concerns to investigate, but it does not replace a qualified inspection or establish compliance.
