Survey Logics | How to design intelligent surveys
By implementing logic flows into your surveys, forms, or questionnaires, you can create smart surveys that intelligently react to respondents’ answers.
Every type of answer can trigger a different consequence. You can even make an advanced logic flow that has several rules, and preforms multiple actions.
Our logic flows are so powerful! You can literally do magic with them. Read these user guides to learn about your legendary powers.

Adding new logic flows
A questionnaire may need multiple logic flows; and there are two simple ways to add several logic flows into your survey.

Adding rules to logic flows
A logic flow can have one or several rules (or IFs), and each rule contains some conditions that may vary depending on question type.
IFs | Rules
Multiple rules in one logic flow
Sometimes you have to design a logic flow which contains multiple rules or “IF”s. This helps creating advanced survey logics.

Adding conditions to sub-questions
Some question types used in a survey, can actually be a combination of several sub-questions, for example Likert Scale and Multiple Textboxes. Therefore you need to add a separate set of conditions for sub-questions too, while designing a logic flow for them.
Adding consequences to a survey logic flow
After adding IFs (or rules) to a logic flow, you need to define the consequences that should happen as a result. For example, you can choose to “show”, or “hide” something within the questionnaire, or skip to a specific section of it.

Adding multiple consequences to a logic flow
A logic flow can have several consequences. When the rule requirements are met, you may want to hide or show multiple pages, or questions, and even do other actions.

Renaming & finding logic flows
A professionally designed survey might include many logic flows. We’ve made it so easy to rename and find survey logic flows individually.

Deleting a logic flow, rule, or consequence
Any part of a logic flow can be removed if needed.
