New Logic Flow iconAdding a new logic flow

There are two ways of adding new logic flows to a questionnaire. You can either click on “New logic flow”, or as a shortcut, simply click or tap on a question to add logics to it. Further down, we explain each of these methods:

1. By clicking on “Add new logic flow” button

Clicking on New logic flow button creates a fresh and empty logic flow that bares no information. This means you have to decide what kind of “pre-condition” do you want to focus on, and manually choose it from the first dropdown that is displayed in the first logic flow header.

For instance, in case you want to set a rule based on respondent’s answer to a specific question, you should open the dropdown and choose “answer to the following question” from the list.

Then, you will immediately see a new “question” dropdown added under the header. When this new dropdown is clicked, it allows you to search and find any question inside the survey, or simply scroll, find, and click to choose it from the list of questions presented to you.

2. By clicking on a question

In the logic step you can see an overview of all questions and pages of your questionnaire. Here we have included a handy shortcut to ease your work, while you’re setting up the logic flows for

By clicking on any question in the overview area, you’ll be able to add a new logic flow which is starting from the clicked question. This means those two dropdowns and we mentioned earlier are already filled for you, so you can focus on customizing conditions, adding new IFs, and then continue to the THEN section and add desired consequences.
