“Acceptable range” of a survey field is defined by a minimum, and a maximum value. By setting “Acceptable range” you will limit the range in which respondents can answer. Therefore, their answers has to be not less than and not more than the minimum and maximum values.

Note:
There is a technical difference between “Acceptable range” of numbers, words, and characters; as explained below:

 

When you set the Input format of a Text Box to “Numbers” and also limit the Acceptable range for example from 10 to 100, this mean your participants can answer only within this spectrum; any number between 10 to 100. If they answer with a number higher than 100 or lower than 10, our system still collects the data; but it will inform the participants with a prominent visual feedback that their input is wrong, and expected to be something else.
