How to Customize the Questions

Name the course and the follow-up period in the invitation. Replace generic “skill” wording with one observable task only when every participant was trained on it. For a short session measured immediately afterward, use workshop feedback . Keep knowledge tests, certification decisions, and performance records outside this opinion survey.

How to Use the Answers

Separate attendance, reaction, and application context. Low confidence with no opportunity to use the skill calls for a different response from low confidence after repeated practice. Chernbumroong et al. (2023) reported that “different levels of the Kirkpatrick model were conducted and tested: reaction (satisfaction test), learning (knowledge test), and behavior (performance test).” Read the training evaluation case . It involved eight Thai farmers, so it illustrates separation of measures rather than validating this survey or proving workplace performance.

Frequently asked questions

When should this survey be sent?

Use a consistent follow-up point, such as two to four weeks after the final session. Immediate feedback is useful for delivery, but it may be too early to discuss application.

Can satisfaction prove that participants learned?

No. Satisfaction, knowledge, behavior, and performance are different outcomes. Use an appropriate assessment when knowledge or task performance must be demonstrated.

Should managers see individual answers?

State the review process before collection. Aggregate feedback where possible, limit access, and keep named performance decisions outside this optional questionnaire.
